Chelsea Keating
Biography
Chelsea Keating, MPH is a doctoral student in Health Systems and Policy at the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. She earned her B.S. CHEM. (Professional Chemistry) from the University of Nevada, Reno and her MPH (Epidemiology) from the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. She teaches undergraduate Contemporary Issues in Public Health Ethics; Health and Health Systems; Intro Health Policy Health Law at Portland State University.
Outside of teaching at PSU, Keating is a full time Policy Analyst at OHSU’s Center for Evidence-based Policy (Center) focused on pharmaceutical policies for state government. Prior to the Center, she spent over a decade working for a regional, third-party administrator within their pharmacy analytics department.
Keating’s research is focused on the U.S. pharmaceutical system and impacts of integration on access and pricing. Her dissertation is a mixed methods study on regional and independent pharmacies that are at risk of closing in Oregon and working with policy makers on upstream funding recommendations.

Experienced Faculty With Diverse Backgrounds
More than 150 faculty members work within the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. They have a wide range of expertise, from monitoring and assessing health risks and opportunities in populations, to helping build health-supporting social environments through policy, advocacy, and programs. They are educators, advisors, researchers, practitioners and community leaders. They come from backgrounds in quantitative, behavioral, environmental and social sciences, policy and government, exercise and health sciences and anthropology, among many other areas. They all work in collaboration with each other and with community partners, and are especially focused on the training and education of future leaders and practitioners in the public health fields.
