Nhu To-Haynes
Biography
Nhu To-Haynes is a public health consultant and instructor with over 25 years of public health experience at both local and state levels of government. Dedicated to providing innovative and comprehensive technical assistance to health programs in rural and urban settings, Nhu’s diverse experience working with groups and communities in the area of nutrition; public health; community engagement; and health equity is what keeps her motivated and inspired. Specializing
in intergovernmental relations, building collaborations, facilitation and strategic partnerships is at the heart of Nhu’s career.
Nhu has a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Food Management from Oregon State University and holds a Master’s in Public Administration Health Administration from Portland State University. She served six years on the Board of Directors with the Immigrant Refugee Community Organization (IRCO), in Portland, Oregon. Nhu is also a Senior Fellow with the Hatfield School of Government at the Center For Public Service on the campus of Portland State University.

Experienced Faculty With Diverse Backgrounds
More than 150 faculty members work within the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. They have a wide range of expertise, from monitoring and assessing health risks and opportunities in populations, to helping build health-supporting social environments through policy, advocacy, and programs. They are educators, advisors, researchers, practitioners and community leaders. They come from backgrounds in quantitative, behavioral, environmental and social sciences, policy and government, exercise and health sciences and anthropology, among many other areas. They all work in collaboration with each other and with community partners, and are especially focused on the training and education of future leaders and practitioners in the public health fields.
