In an recent educational initiative poised to address crucial work-life balance issues, OHSU-PSU School of Public Health’s Associate Professor, Dr. Julia Goodman delivered a presentation on “Public Policy and Employer Support to Improve Family Health and Well-Being.”
This webinar described the role of paid family and medical leave, and related policies in addressing perinatal health inequities. Dr. Goodman also discussed current equitable implementation of these policies and propose interventions to ensure pregnant workers can access paid leave and workplace accommodations. Her session shed light on actionable strategies that can create more inclusive, supportive work environments for families across the board.
