Brown Hope intentionally weaves creative expression into our racial justice work as a way to change hearts and open minds. Check out what we’ve been imagining at our next community event: Black and Bold on August 8th!
Black and Bold is an all ages event that honors the incredible work of Black authors. We’ll be at BOLD Coffee + Books on Saturday, August 8th from 6–8pm.
The event, coming back for a second year, will include a tribute to legacy Black authors who made trailblazing contributions to the arts and literature. We’ll also celebrate published Black authors from the Pacific Northwest, with a panel conversation and live readings featuring Emmett Wheatfall, Renee Mitchell, and Judge Kemp.
