ASPPH: What’s Happening in Public Health Hiring? Insights for Job Seekers

November 10 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

ASPPH invites students, alumni, and faculty of member institutions to join What’s Happening in Public Health Hiring? Insights for Job Seekers on Tuesday, November 10, from 12:00–1:00 PM ET. Hosted by the ASPPH Career Services Assembly, this virtual panel will explore emerging hiring trends, evolving career opportunities, and strategies for navigating today’s public health job market.

The webinar will feature two public health career experts who bring extensive experience in workforce development, career mentoring, and professional advancement:

  • Zoila Reyna, MPH, Founder and Mentor of Public Health Hired, has helped public health professionals navigate job searches, applications, and interviews across government, healthcare, nonprofit, and private-sector organizations. Through her career mentoring platform, she has supported job seekers in securing nearly 400 job offers.
  • Sujani Sivanantharajah, MPH, CEO and Founder of PH SPOT Inc., leads a global career development platform that has reached more than one million people. She also hosts the PH SPOT podcast and serves as a Senior Public Health Advisor with the federal government of Canada.

Panelists will discuss where public health skills are valued beyond traditional roles, which competencies remain important across sectors, and how job seekers can effectively communicate their transferable skills to prospective employers.

ASPPH encourages member institutions to share this opportunity with students, alumni, and colleagues interested in exploring career pathways and navigating the changing public health employment landscape.
