SPH Students Co-Author New Study On Assisted Living Facilities During COVID-19

Taylor Bucy, an MPH student in the Health Management and Policy program, was the lead author, with co-authors Lindsey Smith, a PhD student in the Health Systems and Policy Program, Dr. Paula Carder, and others of a study in the May issue of the Journal of American Medical Directors Association examining why differences in how states regulate assisted living facilities led to an inconsistent response to COVID-19 across the country, possibly even exacerbating the negative impact of the virus in some facilities.
