SPH SCHOLARSHIPS
Provost Workforce Development Scholarship for the MPH in Public Health Practice Program
Eligibility Requirements:
- New MPH in Public Health Practice students starting summer or fall 2026 (accelerated and non-accelerated programs).
Scholarship Amount
$12,000
The scholarship is only for students enrolled in the MPH in Public Health Practice program.
$12,000 total toward tuition and fees for MPH Public Health Practice students starting in summer or fall 2026 (disbursed in full over the 2026-27 academic year for accelerated students; disbursed evenly over two academic years for non-accelerated students at $6,000 per year).
All new students in these programs receive this scholarship unless tuition and fees are covered by other awards: Students awarded the Provost Excellence Scholarship, the President’s Fund Scholarship or any other OHSU, PSU or external funds covering full tuition and fees are not eligible for these awards. Scholarship amounts will not exceed the total cost of tuition and fees in an academic term.
Celeste Davis Memorial Fund

- American Indian/Alaskan Native graduate students

- Students within the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health
- First Generation Applicants

To provide scholarships for students in the School of Public Health with preference given to first generation college students. The OHSU-PSU School of Public Health, or any future successor OHSU unit will select Scholarship recipients according to its policies and procedures. The OHSU-PSU School of Public Health will have discretion over distribution plans and all aspects related to recipient awards.

Marshall Scholarship for Epidemiology Doctoral Students
Eligibility Requirements:
- Students within the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health
- Doctoral student in Epidemiology Program
- New or returning students
Eligibility Preferences:
- Students in the dissertation research phase of the program

To provide scholarships for one or more doctoral students in the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health’s Epidemiology Program, with preference for supporting students through the dissertation research phase of the program.

Mitch Greenlick Public Health Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements:
- Students within the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health
- Students in one of the PhD programs
- Good academic standing
- New or returning students

To support one or more Ph.D. students, which would include M.D./Ph.D students, enrolled in the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. Scholarships shall be given on a competitive basis among qualified applicants enrolled and with good academic standing at OHU and/or PSU and in accordance with OHSU’s and PSU’s general scholarship selection guidelines and procedures.

OHSU-PSU School of Public Health Dean’s Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements:
- Students within the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health
- First Generation applicants
- Graduates must be enrolled for minimum 6 credits
- 3.0 GPA minimum
- New or returning students
Eligibility Preferences:
- Students living or working in diverse environments
Scholarship Amount
MPH – $10,000
PhD – $15,000

To support scholarships for students within the School of Public Health. This fund supports both OHSU and PSU students. A renewable scholarship for both Masters and PhD level students.
The SPH Deans Scholarship Fund for Public Health invests in first generation students from historically underserved, or otherwise marginalized groups. Visit the scholarship webpage to learn more.
O’Kelley-Bangsberg Scholarship

- Students within the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health
- First Generation Applicants
- New or returning students
Scholarship Amount
$2,500

O’Kelley-Bangsberg scholarship is awarded annually to student enrolled in the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. Preference will given to first generation students and students with financial need.

*First generation college student: is an individual both of whose parents did not complete a baccalaureate degree; or an individual who regularly resided with and received support from one parent, and that parent did not complete a baccalaureate degree.
