Opinion: Put kids’ needs first by opening schools
In a recent opinion piece in The Oregonian, Alex Foster, MD, MPH, director of the MD/MPH program at the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health and assistant professor of pediatrics at OHSU, joins fellow OHSU pediatrics professor Ben Hoffman in making a case for returning Oregon’s kids to in-person school during COVID-19 can be done in a way that minimizes the risks to them and to school staff.
