We are thrilled to announce that the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health ranked #22 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, placing it within the top 10% of all accredited schools of public health in the United States. This milestone is not just a recognition of our institution’s excellence but a testament to the steadfast dedication of our faculty, students, and staff. As Oregon’s only school of public health, this achievement underscores our role as a pivotal force for public health practice and education.
Dean Paul K. Halverson remarked on this achievement, stating, “This improved ranking is an outward sign of the progress we are making. It reaffirms our commitment to provide unparalleled education for our students, to create research that makes a tangible impact, and to focus on improving the health of Oregonians across the state. We are preparing our students to tackle the most pressing public health challenges and to improve health outcomes across communities, emphasizing that health equity is at the heart of everything we do.”
This accolade is a stepping stone for SPH to continue advancing our mission to educate future public health professionals and leaders with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of life for all.
