Jae Downing¹
Biography
Dr. Jae Downing is an assistant professor in the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. Dr Downing’s research uses real-world evidence (RWE), including health insurance claims and electronic health records, to advance equity. They aim to understand the impacts of gender and sexual-orientation based discrimination on access to healthcare. Dr. Downing earned a PhD from UC Berkeley in Health Policy with a concentration in Population Health. Current projects funded by National Institute for Drug Abuse and the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute use community-based participatory approaches to center voices of gender diverse individuals in their research.
